Are My Trees Storm-Safe ?
Hernando County Utilities Water Conservation presents Florida-Friendly Landscaping. Topics include Right Plant-Right Place, Water Efficiently, Fertilize Appropriately, Mulch, Attract Wildlife, Control Pest Responsibly, Recycle, Control Storm water Runoff and Protect the Waterfront.
Lilly Browning will lead the one-hour class. She will discuss tips from experts at the University of Florida regarding trees and storms. How do we choose landscape trees that are structurally sound? How do we evaluate the existing trees in our yard? Wind resistance and tree species will also be covered.
Lilly has been the FFL Program Coordinator since 2014. She has resided in Hernando County since 1978. Her education is in horticulture and environmental studies. She works to help residents learn environmentally responsible ways to enjoy their Florida yards.
