Program Description

Event Details

The December title is The Book Woman's Daughter by Kim Michele Richardson. This sequel to The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek introduces Honey Lovett, teenage daughter of librarian Cussy Mary, who continues the family tradition of delivering books to neighbors in the virtually impenetrable Kentucky hollers with the Pack Horse Library Project. The novel abounds with Appalachian voices, imagery, and lore, paying homage to the community's strength of spirit amid harsh landscapes, poverty, and prejudice. Space is limited. Registration required.
