Event Details
Join us at West Hernando Branch Library for "Weeki Wachee, City of Mermaids", a "Florida Talks" program presented by Dr. Lu Vickers. Dr. Vickers is the author of one novel and several books on Florida history, including Weeki Wachee, Thirty Years of Underwater Photography, and Cypress Gardens, America’s Tropical Wonderland, both of which received Florida Book awards. Ms. Vickers will present rare, vintage photographs, postcards, and publicity shots of Weeki Wachee's mermaids, taken over a thirty year period. This program is sponsored in part by Florida Humanities.

Photography During Programs
