Event Details

The Corps of Discovery marked the U.S. Army’s first official diplomatic expedition. Commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark were tasked with exploring the recently acquired Louisiana Territory and searching for a water route to the Pacific Ocean. Learn about the mission’s enduring legacy and its significant effects on the Army, the nation, and the Indigenous peoples of the region. For adults. Space is limited. Registration required.
